Updated Promoter Capture

Updated Promoter Capture Now Available

A new improved and expanded regulatory capture panel for promoters and other regulatory elements in wheat is now available from Daicel Arbor Biosciences.

An updated regulatory region enrichment capture for wheat (Triticum L.) and other Triticeae species was recently developed and is commercially available through Arbor Biosciences. The core target space of this capture assay includes sequences from two Kbp upstream of each gene predicted in the Chinese Spring wheat genome plus regions of open chromatin identified with ATAC-seq from wheat leaf and root samples. To improve specificity, candidate repetitive sequences were aggressively filtered. The final design comprises 216.5 Mbp of predicted hybridization space in hexaploid wheat and showed increased specificity and coverage of targeted sequences relative to previous protocols. Test captures on hexaploid and tetraploid wheat and other diploid cereals show that the assay has broad potential utility for cost-effective promoter and open chromatin resequencing and general-purpose genotyping of various Triticeae species

The paper is now online in The Plant Genome and can be accessed through this link: http://doi.org/10.1002/tpg2.20296

The panel was designed by Jorge Dubcovsky and Junli Zhang at UC Davis (USA) in collaboration with Jacob Enk at Arbor and researchers from INRAE (France).
