PAG organizers have informed us that all sessions will take place at the Town & Country Resort and that all presenters must attend in person, i.e. there is no virtual option.

The IWGSC will organize two workshops:

• Main Workshop on Saturday 13 January 2024, 8:00-10:10 am.
• From Structural to Functional Wheat Genomics Workshop, likely to be held on Tuesday 16 January 2024, 1:30-3:40 pm.

The wheat reference genome sequence (IWGSC RefSeq v1.0 & v2.1) has provided a foundation that has propelled recent advances in research and improvement of wheat.

Abstracts submitted for presentations at the Main Workshop should focus on latest frontiers in genome biology, fundamental and applied, leading to significant advances in wheat science. We may also consider talks regarding exceptional advancements and state of the art resources and tools developed for other crops that would be highly beneficial for development in wheat. Please note, if the talk is about other crops, please include in the abstract the potential benefits and uses for wheat. 

For the Structural and Functional Genomics Workshop, abstracts should focus on new experimental and computational approaches to structurally identify and assign function to genes, regulatory elements, or epigenetic states, through study of pathways, gene families, and crop traits. 

Please note that the PAG organizers are enforcing several rules to ensure diversity of speakers at the various workshops. These include prohibitions on an individual giving the same or a highly similar talk in more than one PAG workshop or giving the same or highly similar talk in the same workshop as given the prior year. We will work with the organizers to enforce this rule and are setting an early deadline for abstract submissions to assist in this effort.
